Press Release Body: The Maynard, a soon to be opened boutique hotel in the heart of the Peak District is offering local residents an exclusive money saving deal in celebration of the refurbishment which is due to be completed in a few weeks time. South Yorkshire and Derbyshire residents who book a table for two or more in The Maynard restaurant (evening only) will be treated to a "Buy one night get one free" offer in one of the ten en-suite luxury bedrooms, when the hotel re-opens its doors to guests in March.
The offer is subject to availability. To book, you need to quote 'Local resident' and pop in to The Maynard, e-mail restaurant@themaynard.co.uk or call 01433 630321. You will need to give your postcode and address details to qualify for the offer. Usual Maynard Terms & Conditions apply. Bookings must be made and the offer redeemed by the end of May 2008.
The Maynard hotel and restaurant has undergone an ambitious overhaul which has seen the 100 year old building in Grindleford, transformed into what is believed to be the only genuine boutique hotel in the heart of the Peak District. Following a six figure revamp, The Maynard is undergoing an up-market transformation with the help of local designers, Oulsnam Design of Bakewell.
The restaurant also underwent a boutique style refurbishment last year. The month-long project at The Maynard saw the popular restaurant transformed into an elegant, open-plan contemporary dining area complete with 21st century décor and furnishings and some unique design features.
The 50-seater restaurant, which boasts stunning views across the Hope Valley, now has a distinctive colour scheme, sleek, modern furniture and chrome accessories. It also features striking etched glass windows and innovative pictures from local artists along with artwork unusually displayed on the ceiling to create a whole new experience for diners.
Paul Downing, director of The Maynard, says the local community is more important than ever to The Maynard's success: "We know from research that there is a national and international market for a boutique hotel in the Peak District. However it is local trade that has made The Maynard successful over the past 100 years and it will continue to be the locals that make the new Maynard really special. We wanted to make sure that locals had a chance to benefit from the new rooms and share the experience first, hence the offer of a free second night's accommodation for a limited period, for South Yorkshire and Derbyshire residents only."
Once you have expressed an interest in the offer, The Maynard will keep a reserve list and call you back to confirm your reservation, once an actual re-opening date is known for the hotel. You may eat in the restaurant any time, as The Maynard is still open for food and drink.
"We believe The Maynard will now be a leading attraction for Peak District tourism. We want to celebrate this success with our local customers," Paul added. ENDS
